About Us

Concept Foods was established in October 1999 by (Managing Director), Nick King (Production Director), and Neil Carter (Company Secretary); a combination with over 75 years experience in the meat trade.

Hygiene

We operate from a full throughput cutting plant (UK 6219) licensed and inspected by the Food Standards Agency and the Meat Hygiene Service.

We apply HACCP principles to all our production, this included metal detection. Sensitivities:

  • Ferrous: 1.5mm
  • Non-ferrous & Stainless: 2.5mm

Routine hygiene checks are carried out using Wickham Laboratories (NAMAS) for fat analysis, microbial counts, and surface swab tests.

Clients

Our clients include ready meals manufacturers, schools, universities, catering and the food service industry.

Product Line

Our product line includes:

  • IQF, free flow mince and dice from beef, pork, lamb and poultry
  • Portion control cutting of joints, chops, and steaks
  • Specialists in grading and trimming for ready meals

Facilities

We operate from purpose built premises with preparation area, as well as our own cold store. Our distribution service offers nationwide delivery. Holding clients stock enables us to deliver anywhere within 48 hours on demand.

Contracts

We are prepared to offer fixed prices over extended time periods for frozen products.

Own Label

We pack for others under their own label, as well as supplying under the Concept brand.
